Hi, my name is Javi and I live in Asturias. I’m in love with my homeland because it’s where I can enjoy what I love the most: Nature. Sleeping in the mountains under the stars or going for a stroll along a deserted beach at sunset are the kind of things that make me feel alive.

I started taking pictures on trips with my friends over 20 years ago, when we would go skating or snowboarding. Time passed by, and my work started to appear in magazines to the point that I was being published regularly. Later, I did collaborations with brands and really amazing projects like creating our own magazine.

Reading all of this, maybe you’re wondering how I ended up being a wedding photographer, right?

Well, I guess you can say it was pure coincidence or fate, depending on how you look at it…

One day in a family gathering, my sister told us she was getting married. Not giving me time to react, she fixed her eyes on me and said: “Javier, if you don’t take the pictures, nobody will”.

And that was it. I didn’t have a choice, they needed a photographer at their wedding, and I didn’t want to disappoint her… So that was how I got my first gig.

Though at the start my mind was full of doubts and uncertainty, when the celebration came to an end, I understood what it meant to shoot a wedding. It wasn’t anything like what other colleagues had described to me. It was much more creative than I thought, and, moreover, I got hooked on the feeling you get when you have the opportunity to capture moments full of emotion and joy.

And so, 10 years ago I founded F2studio: the combination of my passion for photography, capturing emotions, and an endless love of nature.

Since then, I’ve photographed more than 300 weddings all around Spain and Europe. I’ve cried, laughed and enjoyed experiences that I would have never lived otherwise. I’ve met amazing people and, above all else, I’ve discovered the passion of my life: being a wedding photographer.

And even after being published in numerous magazines and blogs around the world, winning different awards, teaching many workshops and talking in renowned congresses, I’m still the same person as before. I’m as involved as I was at the beginning, waiting eagerly for the weekend thinking about what the next wedding will have in store for me.

If all that wasn’t enough for you, you’re more than welcome to visit my personal blog. There you can read about my adventures and get to know me even more.
